One Night Stop
Stopped just for the night. We stayed hooked up. Nothing fancy, but it worked. Friendly staff.

We stopped in for one night on our way back from Nevada to Texas. The staff was friendly and escorted us to a FHU (50amp) pull through site, large enough to stay hooked up. The cable was fuzzy. There is plenty of room between sites for privacy. We did not use any of the facilities, so I can’t really commit, but if the inside looks anything like the outside, they should be clean and useable. They advertised a cafe/grill on site, but it was closed for remodeling. The only possible downside would be, the RV park is 17 miles from town. So arrive prepared. We will return hopefully for a longer stay. Happy trails!

Worth It
Safe, clean, well maintained, well staffed, plenty extras. You will struggle to do better in the area.

What you'd expect from a KOA
Nice, big, clean park. Friendly staff, large level spots. Good cable and wifi. Pool was closed thanks to rona but playground was great for keeping kids busy. Stayed two nights to see the Caverns. Definitely a bit more of a hoof from this side of town but worth it given the appearance of the other RV parks we passed on the way. Only negative was the strong sulfur smell that pervades the area at night. I don't think it's unique to this campground but the whole city. Make sure you button up tight before you go to bed or it will wake you up the first time you smell it and send you scrambling to the gas appliances!

Nice Park
Gravel throughout, but level. About 15 miles north of the city of Carlsbad. Friendly staff. Sites are spacious.

Great KOA!
Love this Campground/RV site!! Stayed 2 nights, reasonable price, excellent service, very clean bathrooms/bathhouse, HOT showers, great laundromat, water, electric, easy to get in and out of, convenient to closeby cities (if supplies or restaurants are needed) very helpful and friendly staff!... overall, would definitely recommend staying here, especially if you plan to visit Carlsbad Caverns, or even Roswell!! Thanks to the staff, and KOA!

Not Bad
Sites are nice and long with space between neighboring sites. Fairly quite. Propane was a little pricey and the wifi is very iffy, and keeps kicking me off (and there aren't a lot of RVs/ travel trailers here). No pool and gym equipment is in the lounge/ meeting area. Hosts are pleasant.

Nice Big Sites But Overall - Just Ok
Sites were big, wide, trees and grass so that was positive. Stayed 2 nights in November and I guess it was off season so no amenities really available like people are saying. Over $50 a night including a discount seemed too pricey considering there wasn’t a hot tub, pool available, hardly anything in the store and no WiFi. Bathrooms weren’t very clean and next to no staff. Actually it looked to be a family and their kids doing everything - which meant they were turning people away saying they’re too full even with a lot of empty sites. If you’re coming off season - make a booking!! That’s the only reason why we were able to get in. We didn’t use the bbq dinner service but sure is a great idea!

Worth the distance from the caverns
Great park, very helpful and friendly staff, and well stocked for last minute needs. For all the negative things we've heard about RV parks closer to the caverns, we decided to stay farther away to stay here instead, and we are glad we did! We have a 38 foot RV and a car towed behind, but this park has lots of pull through spots, and we haven't had any problems at all. Our kids love the pool and the rec room, too, and dinner orders delivered right to your campsite is very cool. (TRY THEIR BRISKET!) WiFi is too weak to use from our particular campsite, but I worked a few days from the rec room with the main building's WiFi just fine. This is also a very dog friendly park, so our two pitty babies are happy too!

Best In Area
Great customer service. Clean, full hook up spots. Lots of amenities on site. Only real ding against them is horrible WiFi when busy. Not that the holiday crowd is gone, getting 10Mbps average down speeds.

RV newbies But Lovin’ It!
After driving down to Carlsbad only to realize we got there too late in a horrific wind storm we tried to stay close to Carlsbad so we could go the next day but there was no rv spots anywhere. We ended up driving all the way to this KOA and it was a glorious oasis! They are more expensive than others but the site is wonderful. The staff is friendly and helpful. The park is clean and the spaces are wide and level. They had food there bbq dinners that smelled wonderful!! WiFi, and cable were nice for us and hookups were great!!! Many praises for this park!!

Great Place
Very friendly staff and owner, clean, well taken care of. We enjoyed the stay, as a place to use as s base to go to all surrounding attractions, it was great! Would stop here again. We stayed 4 nights.

Great Campground
This campground is one of the best we have stayed at. The views are the best, the area is nice and everyone is super friendly. I too had slow internet, but honestly i don't camp for the internet. We stayed a couple days but were gone all day every time. This campground is located between Roswell and Carlsbad caverns. It took about an hour of driving to get to places each day. We had reservations to stay at another campground closer but when we pulled in to those campgrounds i was nervous about leaving my camper alone. Lol. I enjoyed my vacation because of piece of mind and a nice place. Like most KOAs i was escorted and recommendations were made for hooking up that made every thing easier. They were roasting marshmellows for free for the kids so they were busy while i setup. Just a side note. The young lady at the front desk was very impressive with her knowledge of the area and getting us checked in.

Nice park. Friendly staff. Quite. Terrible WiFi. Nice sized spaces. Lots of stickers in the grass-ish areas by sites.

I could see why someone might say this is the best RV park in Carlsbad but it sure isn't the best in NM. They must have just put down new limestone rock because it was REALLY dusty. My RV and truck looked white after staying there 2 nights. The WiFi was one of the worst WiFi I have ever encountered in 15 states and the other campgrounds that had poor WiFi, I did not spend $50 + a night. I talked to one of the managers of the park and they reset the hub, but in a couple of hours it did the same thing, and was very difficult to sign on to. At a $50 + a night, I would not stay in this park again. The 9.8 mph speed limit must not be enforced, there were several people doing at least 25 mph and with the dusty rock, it was like a dust storm.

One of the Best
This is hands down the best RV park near Carlsbad. It's about 20 minutes to the town of Carlsbad and about an 1hr to the caverns, but worth the extra drive. This is one of the nicest RV parks we have stayed in. Most all the sites are flat pull through with no need for leveling. The sites are all full hookup with plenty of space between sites to not feel like your crowded. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and guide you to your site and explain all the hookups. There's a nice pool and the BBQ is a must. We ended up staying an extra night than originally planned because we liked the place so much. Stay here when in Carlsbad, you'll be glad you did. And no I don't work there. ????
