I talked to visitors center. They give permits to park your car overnight, but "technically your not allowed to be sleeping in them" woman said sheriff will knock on the window but word has it if you don't move or make noise they just move on. Too anxiety provoking for me. There's miles of spots and free rustic camping on Denny creek rd. About 7 miles west of Yellowstone.
