Ruark West Campground

Not sure why they just have the east campground on here but we have camped at the west campground for the last 3 years and love it. Our favorite place to go whenever we can get away. Would like to see it upgraded from 30 amp service to 50 amp service.

Terrible Camp Host!! Beware

Drove up to entrance, no one inside shack. Decided to go find a spot and come back later to pay, which resulted in a man driving erratically through park and driving his truck in front of my rig and stopping in front of me, my wife and kids were freaking out. Then the host decides to throw profanities at me for driving into park without checking in, said he was in shack(he wasnt), then says he was sitting under a tree nearby and saw me pull through, threatened to give me tickets(he cant), and told me to leave. Wouldn't tell me his name or supervisor in effort to avoid my review. We left immediately and will never return here, and I'll tell all of my camping friends to never stay here. Army Corps needs to remove this person as host...ASAP

We love Ruark Bluff East! We have been camping here for about 4 years now and we love it! It's so nice and peaceful. Would definitely recommend this campground!

Nice lake access great place to swim and fish but be advised the sheriff's department is very likely​ to show up and search everyone at your campsite
