peaceful overnight, helpful staff
when our original plans fell through, we were able to get a last minute spot (calling in at 6:00 p.m. on a weekday night, surprised to even get a person, let alone a helpful person, who made the reservation.)
we needed an overnight spot in the leaf peeping shoulder season of fall.
as others have mentioned, lots of activities for kids, $1 miniature golf, for instance. also, on the map I see boat rental, bike rental, and I presume a swimming beach in Stewart lake.
the camping spot we chose was hard pack gravel, and a little tight. but everything worked.
the road noise quieted down by 10:00 p.m. or so, and once the construction quits (2026?) on I-75 I suspect it will be quite a bit quieter.
anyhow, if we are in the area again, we would consider stopping here for another stay.

I never got to spend a night. I called on a Sunday and made reservations for the next weekend BUT the girl made them for the weekend after. Called twice requesting for an email on my reservations and never received any. I finally called the day we were to arrive and found out the reservations were wrong. (Mind you we are traveling 4 hours) I canceled reservations got my money but DID NOT receive a cancelation email.

Labor Day FAMILY Fun!
Lots to do! Large camping sites. Bike riding trails, swimming, activities for kids. Live bands on stage, bounce houses. Been many times and plan to go back for sure.

Wonderful park. LOTS for kids to do. Only downfall is the traffic coming in and out of the park and payimg for showers.
