It takes a bit to get there and the road in, is very bumpy per a few washouts but it's worth it when you arrive. It is prone to ticks but everywhere this year is bad. We avoided the prime areas for ticks and I still pulled 4 off of me in only three days of camping. The lake is a gem and is often visited by fishermen. It has several sites that are fairly level but some of the sites would only be good for a tent. Road noise comes only from trucks trailering boats. Swimming is ok but not its claim to fame. Fishing and kayaking are probably the main attractions. One note the roads are very dusty. They do not spray at all. My truck looked like a sugar donut when we left. There are three bathrooms, two nice and the third iffy. All in all a good time.

This is an excellent place to camp. Rustic with large sites.
