One Nighter
We stayed 1 nite to check it out, $25 to enter the park plus camp fee unless you have a national park pass. Check in quick and easy. A beautiful park with a lot to do, great for bike riding. Ponies are everywhere, Not much availability so reserve early. You have to pass Maryland Assateague campground to get here so check them too.

An Awesome Experience
Stayed for a week in loop C with our 24’ class C. Clean, level asphalt pads with no leveling required and wide enough for full slide outs and awnings. No hook-ups but very close to fresh water and dumping station. Generators allowed 6am-10pm. Very easy to maneuver area. Nice general store right on the water within walking distance with bike and kayak rentals, wood, ice and basic amenities. Friendly staff. Clean restrooms and always stocked with TP and hand sanitizer. Cold water showers. Bring a light at night, no electricity. Large fire ring with fold down grill grates, newer picnic tables with built-in storage. Nice to keep coolers and wood stored. Wildlife is amazing. Wild ponies visited our site twice at night as we watched thru our windows. Huge variety of birds and plant life. Be sure to keep coolers locked, ponies will try to get into them. This includes on the beach as well. Be respectful of the park rules and you’ll have an amazing time!

Mosquitoes & Horses
Love the park for the expansive beach and wild horses. Don't stay on loop B if you require a generator. Don't stay on the Bayside unless your armed with mosquito traps, fogger, bracelets, full body bubble... they are viscous. Ticks and Asian Tiger mosquitoes everywhere! Oceanside has ocean breeze that sweeps them all towards the marsh and bayside where they thrive. Stay away from Susie and Chip the horses, they'll hoof punch you and known to break bones. No showers unless you like ice cold showers. Dry toilets are one big hole with a plastic cover and seat which I wouldn't let my daughter near in fear she'd fall right through. Not sure how to rate the park but I think I've seen enough. Next time I'll stay at the state park next door which has electric options so we can run the AC and not suffocate in our camper trying to keep the vampires out. Happy trails.

Best Of All
Where else can you go to have beautiful beach, bay, and wild ponies? Nothing comes close. Privy toilets, cold showers in season, no hook-ups but worth every beautiful moment.
