Just Right
We have stayed here a few times. This isn’t a big city campground or RV resort. If you are looking for a good old fashioned campground to explore the northern Maine woods, this one is for you. We have a 35 ft toy hauler and have no issues getting around in the campground. It looks tight for the really big rigs, but doable if you know how to drive. It’s on the ATV trail, close to town and the folks that run it are very pleasant. I look forward to going there again.

Great Campground But.....
No flush toilets. The campground is clean and wooded speckled with apple trees. Sites are spaced nicely. If you don’t mind pit toilets this is a really nice campground. If they had flush toilets I would give it 5 stars

Quiet and easy access to the park. Lots to do in the area and great scenery. For the price, there is a lack of amenities, and the bathhouse was in need of a good cleaning and some updates. $300+ for the week, for electric and water. Compared to $230 for week with a pool, full hook-ups, and clean bathhouse the week before at another park in the northeast. We didn’t shop around enough. We’ll look for another campground next time.

Clean and quiet...those are two things that are important to us. Moosehead Family Campground was both. Also very close to the nice small town of Greenville in Moosehead Lake. We would definitely return.
