What a delightful spot! Just like its larger cousin Fountainbleu State Park down the road, this smaller version has the picturesque moss draped oaks, shade everywhere and exquisitely groomed and maintained grounds. The roads and sites are paved and easy to get around. Power, 30 and 50 amp are very reliable and water pressure is >40 psi. Cell phone service is adequate but no wi-fi. Shower and toilet facilities look brand new: squeaky clean. In time of Covid not many staff to evaluate but office staff was polite and engaging. Lots of tv antenna channels; no cable. Boardwalk is a spectacular stroll through the swamp and along the tranquil Tchefunvte River. Two campgrounds actually: one right on the riverbank and the other in the forest near the playground and other facilities. All are surrounded by grass and space, some more than others but none are crowded.
Visited in a motorhome and plan a return.

A lot of flooding, and nepotism
Campground is turning into a swamp, unless you’re a camp host and then they will install you a rock patio. Tried to get a electric site all were taken but camp host have six ele. Sites, one use for storage of a run down RV and one use for parking. And if you say anything LOOK OUT!!!

We stayed here to be close to New Orleans. Easy drive to the big easy across the causeway. The staff very friendly. Lots of employees constantly working to keep the facilities and grounds in tip top shape. Laundry is FREE. They do have a dump station but only a select few spots had sewer hook up. Narrow asphalt spots for our size rig. 43ft Toyhauler. Smaller rigs fit better on the pad. Fire pits, picnic benches every site. Bathrooms/showers are kept clean. Would definitely go back. The main road to get to the Park is really congested. Have patience.

Good But Not Great
This is not one of the best Louisiana state parks we have been in but very adequate. We were back in the premium sites (not sure what made them premium) but it was quiet and peaceful. The pads are fairly narrow so be careful stepping out of your RV. Great boardwalk through the swamp.

Absolutely Wonderful Park But Pricey
Well maintained beautiful Riverside Park with boardwalks trees Spanish moss. boats going by. Nice spots with some separation. Macadam pads. Electric and water in the river section that I was in. It's a very relaxing place . Manager is great to talk to. I paid almost $40 for one night but $6 of that was a fee for Reserve America even though I did not make a reservation.

Beautiful park. Pics on the app do not do it any justice. Private shower rooms and friendly staff.
