Dump And Fill Fresh Water Tanks
Fort Boonesborough State Park was a lifesaver for us. We needed to empty our tanks and refill our fresh water tank, and this park made it easy. They charge $5 to dump our waste tanks and an extra $5 to fill our fresh water tank. Pay at the office. We did not stay the night.

Overnight Stay
Nice campground for any size camper or tent. Activities scheduled looked fun. Nearby fort available for tours. Our site was adequate and level. Restroom and showers could accommodate quite a few people. Nice place to stay. Some road noise from nearby busy highway.

Stayed In Site 137 Three Nights
Site 137 is pretty private and near the river in a cul-de-sac, but also close to the cement plant and route 627. Bath house was air conditioned, clean and good shower. It rained a lot while we camped in our travel trailer so there was some minor flooding in the campground although not our site. Camp store was well stocked and staff was friendly.

Nice Place For An Overnight Stay
Nice place. A little too crowded for me as I like more space between RV camp sites. People were nice. Store had a variety of products and was open until 11pm and had a very nice and helpful man working behind the counter. Bathrooms were very clean and showers worked great.

Very noisy all night due to truck traffic on nearby highway.

Old & Overpriced
All these people complaining about unlevel sites & water far away have a beef. Glad I had 2 hoses, to reach 50' to my water. Took 2 boards to get close to level, RVing 101 though. $39/night (with discounts) sucks for such an old state park during week in Nov. Got a few channels on antenna. If I weren't visiting a friend nearby, I wouldn't even stay here. Won't come back for this price. Won't pay for WIFI either, have barely enough 4G on my phone.

Only parked overnight but found staff very friendly. Paved parking spot with 50 amp and water. We would like to go back when we have time to spend. Lots of Halloween decorations, charming.

Fort Boonesborough State Park Nice!
Nice camp grounds. Recommend. Staff friendly and campsites are numerous. Clean and family oriented. Lots to see off I-75 for a day or two. Great for RVs. Tent camping as well. Halls on the River Restaurant close by has a really nice Kentucky oriented menu. Lunch or Dinner. Check out old Fort Boonesborough for a small fee. Lot of history. Kayaking fishing or hiking. Bird watching. Lounging.

Yes Please, May I Have Another
Great park. Staff was nice. Park was great. Lots of friendly people and families. We had a blast and it wasn’t that far from home. We will be back for sure. Tons to do and see.

Great Place To Be
I was impressed with the service, the campsites and the location is fantastic. A short drive off I-75. The sites are easy to access and with ample space. The area has some wide open walking spaces. Very kid and pet friendly. It would have been 5 stars but where I camped there was a lot of road noise. And worse was a major outbreak of yellow jackets. We will be back again.

Great Weekend
I loved the park. The primitive camping area needed a little attention, mowing and clean up. Other than that I was stoked at my site. Staff is super friendly and the store will have almost anything you forgot! Great little get away.

Enjoyed It!
Nice mix of sites to primitive to full hook ups. Camp store open later in case you'd need something. Mini golf on site for fee, but you can pay& play unlimited before 11am on some days. Def visit Fort Boonesborough!! Entry fee there as well, but exhibits & artisans there explaining the time period. Swimming pool looked nice but we did not get a chance to go. Shower houses served their purpose but could use some updating, even new shower curtains would be a plus. Staff were friendly. Overall we loved it& enjoyed our stay & hope to visit again :)

A Lil Rough Around The Edges
State park a lot going on here from car shows to Halloween. Friendly folk. Lots of golf carts but have your handicap sticker. On Kentucky river it can flood in rare times. Visit the fort at least once. The only bad is the farrow cats and the nearby quarry running during day can be loud.
