Fletcher’s Fork Campground
We stayed at Fletcher’s Fork campground for an overnight. Beautiful, shady, wooded area with a creek winding through. There are cabins to rent where most of the trees are. There are a few trees in the center of the camping area but they do not interfere with the big rigs. The sites are paved and level, mostly pull through. The bathrooms were immaculate and the showers are huge- handicap accessible- with each having an attached dressing stall. It is not a big campground at all but the spaces are more than adequate and have picnic tables as well. There is even a handicap spot that’s extra wide! Located on post grounds, but not inside the gates so no need for a pass. There is a skeet range close by but it wasn’t being used when stayed. (Friday night)
Wonderful place to stay and will return to again.
NOTE: No WiFi and laundry facilities are just up the road at Eagles Rest Campground.

Remote Area
This area was ok. The restrooms are a bit dated and could used a good scrub down. No TV signal whatsoever. So, bring your sat TV. The area is beautiful with some shaded pads. It's open to the public and no pass required since it sits outside of the gates. Thursday-Saturday, you hear gun fire from the skeet range. Theres also horseback riding (eventhough I did not see any horses). No laundry facility in this lower level. The restaurant up the HILL (about a mike) is closed on Saturdays. They mainly open for lunch 12-3pm. They have plenty of picnic areas and a playground for the kids. Electricity is 50amp or 20amp. If you have a 30amp RV, bring an adapter (50 to 30). Otherwise, it's a quiet sight (when theres no skeet shooter) with nothing around as far as civilization. Cell phone connection is hit or miss. Data however; was good (Tmobile).
But for $25 a night, the price is right.
