The campground bathrooms are clean, modern and well stocked. Showers are nice and warm.
Lots of options for everything from pull through sites for big motorhomes, to lakefront primitive tent sites. There are some parallel parking campsites that are great for bigger families that are camping in groups.
A nice hiking trail circles the lake and crosses below the spillway with pretty views. Lots of wildlife to see including a pair of Eagles. Close to Hampton, IA if you need something.
Camp over by the spillway if you want to be lulled to sleep by the sound of a waterfall.

Great Small Lake Spot
We stayed on a Tuesday night and other than five other campsites being filled, we had the whole place to ourselves! It was beautiful. Quiet and peaceful.
