Camphost Steven Was So Helpful!

We are full time workampers traveling from Mission Texas to Patoka Lake in Indiana. We just experienced our second valve stem flat of the trip. Steven was kind enough to allow us to use the campground’s level parking lot to change our tire. Shout out to Steven for his outstanding hospitality!

Best Little Campground In Southern Illin

My husband and I love camping here. It will be our 4th time this year. We have enjoyed the casual friendly atmosphere. Free firewood and nice clean bathrooms. It is right off the interstate but by night number 2 the sound of traffic going by puts me to sleep. Such a treasure of a place. Close to fern clyff park and tunnel hill park. The camp host and manager are super nice people.

Nice, Small. Well Maintained

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was nice, the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Our site was large and even. We will definitely return! The showers and bathhouse were a little older, but large and kept very clean. The only concern is, that there is a plan to put in a truck stop not far from the campsite, it may ruin the seclusion and feel of the site, but for now it's wonderful!

Super close to all the parks, sites were flat, hosts were incredibly friendly and firewood and starters were free!

Overnight Stay

The correct phone number is: 1-618-995-9130. Easy off/on hwy. Pull throughs with safe-clean hookups. Very large sites! Shower house is dated but probably more sanitary than yours at home. Newer owner was friendly & helpful. We will definitely stay again the next time we pass by.

Very Nice Stop Over

We were planning on staying at a Wal Mart overnight, but it was hot and we would have had to run the generator all night. They are literally right off the highway, but no highway noise. The sweetest lady answered the phone and told us “Sure we got a spot, Richard will help you and it’ll be $22. “ It was very nice, quiet and peaceful wooded area.

Enjoyed the two times we stayed there! Ea time we stayed a week, very convenient to visit our family in the area. Nice and quiet! Will camp here again!

Services

I should of left the review a couple of months ago as to thats when we passed thru. While we did not stay here. We just needed to dump our tanks. Was told just pick an open spot and do whatever we needed to do. The campground looked clean & decent. The lady, ill say was the host was polite & friendly as could be. I would not hesitate to spend some time here camping. There's plenty to do nearby.

Ok Quiet

Pleasant spot. Nothing extraordinary. $22 for electrical and water. No Wi-Fi. Bathrooms ok, but probably shower in rig. I would stay here again
