Clean and well maintained, especially for a State of Illinois park. Stayed two nights during the week. Wasn’t too busy. Has a clean well kept pool with showers the campers can use for free during the times the pool is opened, cold but was better than nothing since it was hot while we were there. Would stay here again.

We had the park to ourselves. Chose a spot that had an easy bank to pass and we were set. No water or showers at this time of year. Perfect for a 1 night pass thru south. 5 inches of hard pack snow.

Stopped for the weekend because Glendale was full. This one filled up by Fri. night.Nice setting in trees but the bathrooms(pit toilets) were smelly and filthy. We were infested with tiny ants. When we left there was no water at all at the dump station. Had to drive back through the campground to a water spigot to put water in our fresh tank. Couldn't rinse out our black tank. Weather not a reason for no water. It was 80 degrees. $18, electric only.
