Nice State Park
Stayed 3 days in April in a pull through. The site and roads were adequate. The restrooms were clean. We did the self guided tour of the confederate fort in the park. It’s very interesting.

Nice And Quiet
Great place to rest!
But watch for falling branches 😮 one fell on our truck door handle and broke it. We saw campsites where branches were actively falling as we walked by - where the trailer was parked the day before.
Deer hangout within your site…sad part is they look so hungry (you can see their skeleton)
$32 after tax for elec/water

We reserved our spot 2 weeks in advance. Arrived to the park and our site had just been dug up by a backhoe and was nothing but dirt even the Sewer was buried, asked to move to another spot and they could not accommodate us and where rudely told stay on that site or get out of here. So we left got our refund and went to the KOA in Richmond. Will never stay there again.

Forested Along River
Many sites wooded, roads a little narrow, lots of pull through spots. Some have little shade while others nearer to tents are more in the woods. Site driveways are often right next to each other, but there is a fair amount of space so not on top of each other. CG along the river, boat launch, pier, and short trails within walking distance. Water, elec, dump station. Bugs were ruthless, esp biting flies that swarmed my dog and I on walks. Quiet and small. We had great spot #52.

Excellent campground. Large sites with plenty of privacy. We were very happy with the proximity to Savannah. 35 to 45 minutes away. There is a Publix close to the park for all your grocery needs as well as a great seafood restaurant not far from the park entrance. Only downside is they are definitely sticklers for the rule of not checking in before 1:00. Our friends site was clear at 11:00 but they still couldn't get on it till 1:00. That being said, this park is still one we will definitely visit again in the future whenever we visit Savannah.

WYOMING COWBOY
Great park amazing sites in prefered area full hookups. Probably 70 yards between spots. Very well shaded and landscaped park. Fort McAllister is worth the money and time to visit. Its about a 40 min drive to anything you want to do in Savannah. One of the countrys best parks I'd give it a 5 star rating!!

Beautiful Setting
This campground is amazingly beautiful but warning - the mosquitoes are ferocious. We saw raccoons, deer, birds and an armadillo. Cost was $42, half off with senior access. Other discounts for vets.

Nice Park
This is a nice park. We also explored the fort, but didn't pay the extra to check out the museum and movie. The park is now site specific. As of this date (March 2019), the park has one of its loops closed for complete renovation. But more importantly, you will not be able to enter the park on your first registered day before 1 pm. There is a gate that requires a code for entry which you receive your site tags etc., but not before 1 pm. We camped in a 32 foot 5th wheel on site 49. Park loop roads are one way and can be navigated safely--just take your time.

Large sites, lots of sand, level sites, park going through remodel, one loop and one bath house closed. Installing full hook up in some of sites. Park staff very help full. No heat in bath rooms hope to be evaluated during remodel. Old fort pretty cool but fairly expensive but worth it. Over all rating 8 out of 10.

Lovely Park And Campground
The Rv sites are huge. It's a beautiful park with deer and lots of raccoon. One of the best state parks we've stayed at. Bonnie was friendly, one lady from the park in the office as well. Other staff could be friendlier.....The showers in the women were bad, shower heads need to be replaced badly! Go and see the fort, it's interesting!

Really Nice Location
Beautiful spot! You can canoe or kayak the marshes or fish. The spots were pretty large and most we saw were pull through and a lot of the big rvs fit through them. You can reserve a "spot" but its first come first serve once you get to the campsite. Lots of deer and raccoons. Make sure you don't leave anything open or out or the raccoons will make it theirs! The ranger told us a couple left their windows open and the baby raccoons were in there chewing on their car seats the next morning. Haha. Store and museum at the entrance, lots of good things for kids to do.
Showers look old and could use an update but they were really clean and the water pressure was awesome. Would have stayed longer but it was all booked up for thanksgiving. I'd come back again!

Great Experience
We stayed during the last weekend in October and the weather was perfect. I made a reservation online and it wasn’t the easiest however it was quick to figure out. If you are traveling with large groups show up to the park early because you cannot select your sites online.
They do offer multiple discounts and military discount is one of them. The price for the campground does not include admission to the historic sites but they will give you a discount.
Once we pulled up to the site i noticed that the people before us just left and it was clean. All of the sites have water and electrical hook ups and the RV sites have other hook ups as well, the website has an accurate list of details. There’s a boat ramp nearby as well as a dock to tie your boat up to or to fish off of. There is a playground close to the dock which is fairly updated.
My family and I are excited to go back.

Fort McCalister
Most are tight camping spots and camping roads. Leaves in place of grass.
I don't really care for the reservation system.
The showers and laundry were in the same building. Doors to the bathrooms and showers area are open at all times. The prices for laundry is very reasonable, but the dryer needs to be replaced.
Campgrounds are not tended to after a guest leaves.
Dogs were on and off a leach. I didn't see anything picked up.
