Very Nice! Yes, It’s Open!

Very nice rest stop. It is open! Had perfect parking for us with our RV. Great space to walk pets! Open when we came through Sept. 2024.

Construction Slower Than Molasses

This rest area has been closed for over 2 years!! Not to mention it was a beautiful place to stop before the "improvements." Now there appears to be less parking and absolutely no shade.

Update: work is still being done but the rest area is still closed. 24 Jan 2022

No Place To Stay

Both west and east bound rest stops are still under construction, though the west bound 1 looks a bit farther along. Needless to say, this isn't an option for a stop of any sort at this point.

Flattened!

We were going to stop there for lunch but ended up stopping sooner and when we drove by west bound, it was nothing but red dirt and big machines everywhere about to start rebuilding. It was nothing! No exit, no building, nothing. I don’t want anyone else to count on this place for at least the winter season. NOT AN OPTION RIGHT NOW

No Overnight Parking

I just called and asked. Was told 3 hour maximum stay. No overnight parking allowed.

No Camping

Signs state no overnight parking or camping. Enforced by security
