Jolly Roger Resort / Pirates
Pros: Nice older campground. Staff very friendly. Campground is very clean with new blacktop roads. Electric, H2O, Sewer, cable.
Cons: 1) After check in it was unorganized mess. No escort to sites. They sent us around one way. Two others which checked in after us were sent the opposite way head on. While waiting for a rig to back into their site, a class C tried to bully is way thru, refused to back up so that I could enter our site. The roads are to narrow for rigs to pass. He wanted me to back up & move over. LOL my rig is 54’ long. 2) Site supper narrow. Packed in like sardines. Our extra wide slide is almost touching the neighbors patio. 3) $30.00 cash deposit required for all dogs. They will not send refund back via mail. Stopped at the office day before departing and I received our refund, departing B-4 they open. 4)Laundry $4.00 washer. $$$$. Dryer $.25 = 5 minutes. 5) Water will not run uphill, our sewer does not drain well since it is a bit taller than our discharge pipe.

Nothing To Write Home About...
Old, overpriced but very well maintained park...at least for the "insiders". This is a private club atmosphere. The maintenance folks work hard...the couldn't care less ladies in the office are a different story. We got stuck in a super small site...neighbors slide even with our patio. I asked over the 12 day stay to be moved to one of the bigger sites. They said 3 month reservations were on their way in. Several one night's and a few 2 nighters came in and out but no one for a long stay. They lied. Won't go back. Nothing either way for 5 miles. It's an "inside club" and most of the 5 star reviews are probably posted by them to raise the bar.

Trees, grassy sites, new stone or concrete patios, newly paved streets, sandy tropical island created with palm trees and lots of chairs, pool, fishing dock and swimming area in ocean. Honestly the best RV park we've seen down here after looking at several. The outdoor tiki area, dock and island are colorfully lit up at night.

Was not entirely impressed with this campground, but to be fair we were here during the pandemic. The pool was closed as was the big tiki hut. The sites on the sea wall were new and nice but the rest if the park had sites very close and crappy grass and not many trees. The swimming area was rocky and grassy, need water shoes. Did not see that cable was available until last day and it did not work. It was cheaper than most places in the Keys, but would gladly pay more for better.

Expensive, and our site (31) was infested with thorny weeds, very bad for kids or pets.

We love this campground! Very friendly staff always willing to help. They have a boat ramp and nice pool. They even sell ice. Most sites are plenty wide for slide outs and room for tow vehicle. Beautiful setting for sunsets.

Extremely tight spots and turns. Not much space to park your vehicle. Our slide out was only feet from touching our neighbors awning. A lot of the rigs look like they’ve been there awhile. Also had trouble getting our phone calls returned after leaving messages multiple days in a row to check on our reservation. We stayed in an “interior plus” site.

Wonderful. What a view from the seawall spots. Had a great time, staff very courteous. Great location to sight see from. And those sunsets, we will be back...

We really enjoyed staying here. A lovely park, lots of grass, nice and peaceful, right on the water and it’s mid July and the pool is still cool. Ocean swimming area is a little strange because you’re kind of on display for everybody with their RVs right there while they’re eating their lunch. But all in all a nice place. My one suggestion would be to have a store or at least better vending machines. There is one restaurant in walking distance.

Thanksgiving In The Florida Keys
Excellent place for relaxing, with great views, nice accommodations and breezy. We stayed 7 days in 2016, 10 days 2017 and will be back next November. Dock for your boat, or fishing with a place to clean your catch. Covered area to gather and enjoy the lovely sunsets.

Nice Older Park
The management is very nice and very helpful here. On the weekends it is a busy place and seems to quiet down during the week. The pool is very nice and is heated to 85°. It is open from sunrise to sunset. It is convenient to everything in the keys and has boat slips to rent as well. The park was very well maintained and lit up beautifully for the holidays.
My only complaint was the sandspurs and fire ants at every site. There was no possible way to avoid them. When I got home I was picking sandspurs from my carpet for over an hour.

Keys Water Access Makes Up
Older Keys style park. Lots of park models some a bit trashy but they seem to be isolated but that's the Keys. Large park, small sites some reconditioned with new pads and water power stands some old and crumbling. Overall you'll see the age of this park pretty quick and it's not a high end Class A snooty place. It's a Florida Keys family campground giving you access to the water. The Jolly Makes up for this with nice docks swimming area and access to the beautiful waters. Beware the pool closes as sunset. It also has a kitschy festive feel around sunset and real characters running around which can be fun. This place is not boring and very active. If you like quiet updated Class A style high end parks this is not your place but it's equal opportunity fun from pop ups to a $1M Prevost and everyone in between. If you think your hot stuff the common jovial nature the place imbues will disarm most and leave all on a chatty common level.
