Overnight In 30' Motorhome (4/30/23)

Unlike other Florida rest areas I've seen on 1-10, there were no notices or signs saying no overnight. Very nice rest area on a little hill. Lower parking lot for big rigs and rvs. The drive loops around to a higher lot for cars and vans. Picnic pavilions in landscaped area between the two parking areas - trees, grass, etc. Nice, clean bathrooms at the top of the hill. Signs say it has armed security, but they must have been undercover 😉 didn't see them. Spent the night, felt safe. Very well maintained area. Bathroom cleaning lady was even very pleasant. Nice little drive into the rest area. Going west, you will drive over I-10 to the southside of the highway. Can't see the rest area from the road.

No Dump

I don't understand why Florida doesn't have RV dumps or consider adding them.

Gadsden Rest Area

Ample parking, lots of trucks. There may be water available at rest rooms, but no where you can fill an RV water tank. Picnic area looks OK. Patrol by "armed" security. Pretty drive to rest area from I-10

Great Find

We found this Rest Area after seeing that we couldn't back in to a Pilot. This was quite a pleasant surprise. Nestled off I-10. Big pull through spaces. Trucks and RVs on lower level. Clean, relatively quiet. We will stop here again.

Hurricane Damage

Not as many trees but still one of my favorite Rest Areas. Still cleaning up area but restrooms functional. Love that it’s away from I-10.

Clean But Not Quiet

If you're in a van up on top it may be quiet, but rvs park near the trucks who drive past all night, no highway noise but you will have truck noise all night. Clean restrooms though not modern compared to other rest stops.

Great Area

Quiet, no freeway noice, clean grounds and bathrooms, large parking area with pull throughs

Great Stop

Off the freeway a bit, large quiet spots, spent the night and felt very safe.

Lots of RV parking, very nice rest area.
