This is a tale of two camps. We stayed in aug of 2021. The camps along the creek r great with large pines no underbrush and plenty of shade and the creek is beautiful. The other part of camp is against hill side and there is a lot of underbrush but worse thing is up on hillside they have walk-in camps and some of these have the walk-in campers wandering around almost overhead of the campers. We questioned the host who said he would run them off. Later he talked to us and said they were in their sights. This place needs to address this. Go to junction creek near Durango and see how to layout a camp and run it

Great little campground. Perfect place to stop off on the I-70 corridor.

This place it's breathtaking! Right by the river so close that you can hear out purr you to sleep at night. Hiking trails are so close that you can hike too the. And town is only a few mins drive away.... Yet it's far enough away that you don't have any distracting city noise or lights. And the ranger it's very helpful

5 minutes to Vail! The sound of Gore Creek is beautiful. Our 28 ft 5th wheel was easy to maneuver through the campground. Very nice host.
