Endurance Challenge
If you like swarms of flies and unrelenting wind, this is the place for you.
Park highlights include the stargazing and clean, plumbed restrooms at the visitors center.
Additional lowlights include depleted reservoir due to drought, and oppressive late summer heat. Again, if you dare to brave a trip here, plan ahead for the wind.

Great Park
This is the newest park in the Colorado State Park system built around a beautiful irrigation reservoir. Great for anglers and boaters alike. The campgrounds are gravel and fairly level all on their own which makes setup pretty easy. Plenty of water available with spigots in numerous places. Good electric service too. It does get hot in Sterling and severe weather can happen, so be aware. It's a great place to have a great time at a reasonable price especially if you have a boat!

Not Bad
Definitely would not go unless you are in a air conditioned rig as there is zero shade. Lake is way up right now and was very pretty. Great spots and water spouts everywhere. Very clean park. Will definitely return in the spring or fall

Nice pull through lots. Too bad the lake is very low, so not much of a lake view. Nice hike to the bluff. Very clean. Would stay again. $24, plus park pass
