Great campground—family run. A bit pricey, but a wonderful retreat. Well maintained. The kids were delightful. Clean and friendly. Recommended it highly!

Good location with out- the- door motorcycle roads! Off the highway with Arkansas River access. Some highway noise but didn’t bother us. Don’t come here for the cell or WiFi. Dirt roads and sites. Sites were wide and long with trees. Nice folks in management. Showers and toilets were older but always clean. Laundry was good (1.75 wash-1.00 dry). Easy drive to Poncha Springs and Salida and Buena Vista. Right down the hi way from Monarch Pass! Not five stars because of WiFi.

This campsite was small and older, but nice. Rates were very reasonable and the owner friendly and helpful. A creek runs through the property, and there are walking (and possibly ATV?) trails. We visited in October and paid $35 for full hook-ups. We would stay again.

Tight fit
All sites do not have 50 amps as their website states. Owners sounds like nice people on the phone and it is a great location with the river just across from the front of your rig. However, the sites are very narrow, trees need to be trimmed so as to allow you to pull into the sites. We were told we had site 12 but could pick any other. We pulled into site 12 barely scraping the trees and decided to go to one without trees so I could put out our slides. Just too small and tight in here. We have a 38ft with a jeep cherokee toad and didnt want to unhook for just one night. We are not totally out of the road. Just too small for us to come back again. No grass, no cell service, wifi is weak and requires you to log in every hour, sites are extremely unlevel, roads are muddy - no gravel, packed in like pickles. Its a shame because it is a great location and beautiful nestled in the trees. Just prune them so you can pull your rig into your site.

Beautiful Views at a Reasonable Price
We had a blast. Our site is close to river and awesome pond with trout nearby. Location was great for what we had planned!

We were not happy with this campground at all. We felt it was dirty and junky. Broken cars, brick and other junk laying around. We got put next to a camper that was old and had junk every where!!! Like they were living there. It reminded me of a mobile home park for RVs. Plus our water didn’t work. We left and went to another place down the road. I only give it one star because it had trees. Don’t wast your time here.
