I recently spent two nights trailer camping at this park. I've been coming to Vega State Park for about 40 years. Early Settlers is a very nice, well-maintained campground. The sites are all fairly level and are reasonably spaced from other sites. Electric 20/30/50 amp service and water is provided at each site. No sewer hook-ups but there is a nearby dump station. The restroom/shower facility is in very good condition plus a children's playground area. There are some mature trees in the campground but shade it limited or does not exist on many campsites. There is a boat ramp close to the campground plus shoreline access to launch kayaks in the lake. The campground is typically quiet at night with very little, if any, road noise. There are a number of trails that can be accessed from this campground. A $10.00 daily parks fee is needed to access the campground.
