In between Alamosa and the Sand Dunes

1st time staying at a KOA. The staff were helpful and friendly. $8 all you can eat pancakes for breakfast on the weekends. Location was close to town and the Sand Dunes.

Disappointed

Big sign out front, “closed for the season”. Should do a better job on their website to alert travelers.

Staff was friendly and the place was clean. Great place for staying if going to the Sand Dunes. Great WiFi which is nice from most KOAs. Bathrooms had horrible water pressure. And the kids park needed a update. With covid restrictions they had a sign on the bathroom door asking people not to use showers if they had a Rv. Only one family could use the laundry room at one time. This was understandable but then they had a private social gathering. Roughly 20 people gathered close to each other with no mask. I have a large family and we count on koa for good showers that is almost impossible to do in our rv. If you are paying for the amenities then you should be able to use them.

Great Place

We stayed 3 nights here and it was wonderful. It provided a restful place as we commuted to our son's hunt camp to cook for the group. Clean and quiet. Thanks

Friendly staff, who really try hard to make it pleasant. Kinda spendy, but that's KOA. Only real downside was sharing a fire pit with the neighboring site. The kids really wanted campfires, but I don't like being that close to stangers.

New To The Game

Staff was very helpful in all aspects of our stay. Booked one night on way home, ended up staying 3 nights during car show weekend. Had a great time, met new friends. Breakfast was great. Thanks for a wonderful weekend KOA.

Good Stop Over

Very good overnight campground. Good WIFI. Would stay here again.

Newer Rv-er

After a stressful and long day of vehicle issues, it was nice to check in w full hookups and pizza made on site and delivered to the rv! Will definitely check into KOAs again while on the road.

Not Very Accommodating

We asked for a reprieve on checkout time as we had 3 loads of laundry and 5 showers to accomplish. This was complicated by the fact that the bathrooms were closed at 11 so we had to wait extra time for our boiler to heat water. With permission we were checked up on several times. We were told another party was coming in for our site (check in time is 3pm) and the entire campground was less than 1/3 full. We were also approached and told that if we did not leave by 12:30 they were going to charge us a late fee. We left by 12, one hour past checkout and only 3 showers accomplished. This was not the friendly KOA we have known and expected. The location is great but the welcome is not. Would not stay here again.

We only spent one night here but it was great. Friendly staff. They have a playground and a pool for the kids.
