My Ideal Private Campground
This place has everything I value in a privately owned campground: peace and quiet, privacy, beautiful setting and views. It's a lovingly maintained and very well run place. I loved the way the sites center around the big pond with water lilies, and also the many gorgeous flowers and plantings throughout. I'd come back in a heartbeat....

Nice!
Quiet, well maintained, lots of flowers, helpful staff. Very clean. If you can't get into Patrick point state campground, this is a good one. You can walk or ride your bike into the park. Wifi in and out, no cell service

Nightmare
There’s a reason the office doesn’t open until 1:00, but check out time is noon. And why, if anything “should come up”, you have to use the office phone, but you can’t walk another 20 feet to the manager’s RV. THEY DON’T WANT YOU TO! Signs are posted all over the place as to what they don’t want you to do.. And a no-smoking park. That means no smoking in your vehicle or own Rv. Period!.. I don’t smoke, but rather ironic that each spot has a huge fire pit.. And... you can smell pot all over the very very very small park. Not worth the stop. Pretty park.. nasty staff. Keep driving... you’ll be glad you did.

Beautiful Trees And Pond!
We stayed three nights, there were five of us +2 dogs, and we were going to The Elk RV park up the road and so glad we didn’t ( the lady at Elk place was rude!!) the lady here was so friendly and got me in the last spot they had!! They have clean free showers and bathrooms!! They are little more higher priced than others but they have cable, pet friendly, electricity, water, sewer, WiFi that’s not great but ok, pond with frogs beautiful trees everywhere, spaces are close to each other but not bad and friendly staff!!

I stayed at Azalea Glen with my daughter over two days in the middle of October. We backed up to the pond, which was a very serene place to enjoy a fire, the sunshine, or a book. Azalea Glen was warmer than 4 of the 6 places I stayed from Arcata to Klamath. This is welcome in October. The park is very quiet, very well kept, and has a tremendous variety of plants used as screening between spaces. The hwy noise was noticeable, but came thru the forest as “white noise”, and was completely tolerable. Azalea Glen is literally yards from the entrance to Patrick’s Point, which was a destination for this trip. I arrived early, as I had just checked out down the road. Jeanne met me in the K-9 buggy as was walking up ask if I could park my truck and trailer next to the driveway. When we drove to see if the site was empty, she invited me to pull in and set up! This is one of the nicest, cleanest parks I’ve stayed at. Their prices are in line with what they provide. I’ll be back....

Not Welcoming By Owners
Manager Deedee was Very nice after we encountered the owners. We had site 5 which backed up to the pond, we are 26' TT and just fit. This is a small campground with a dozen permanent residents along the road across from the pond. Sites are small (you can hear conversations from both neighbors plus freeway traffic noise). They charge $2 a night per dog, Why???There's a small clean bathroom with 1 shower, laundry has 2 Kenmore washers $2 and 1 dryer $1.50. TV does not work, nor antenna, secure internet. Small and Pricey!

Love This Place
Our local go to campground! The staff here is wonderful! The pond sites (2-7) have decks and are very private. The facilities are very clean and the grounds are very well maintained. If you stay here be sure to buy some bread and butter pickles made by the owner. They also sell plum preserves that are amazing!
