Great Campground

Lots of trees. Horse paddocks. Level sites all with gravel, little dust. Two have raised tent pads. Great view. Ranger visits every day if you feel unsure. Water was still on in September.

Our Second Stay

We spent a Sunday through Tuesday at KCL. Love having the place to ourselves. There were two other sites occupied on Monday night but they were quiet as we were. Lots of time to read books and fix some great food on our BBQ

Spooky

Showed up after the sun had gone down. Not a person/car in the entire monument to be seen. The campground looked like it had great potential, but we couldn't stay more than 15 minutes without feeling like it was the beginning of a scary movie and we'd open our eyes to someone watching us sleeping. Wish we weren't such sissies, but that was the eeriest feeling ever. The facilities looked good though! We couldn't see much but we'll be back to check it out in daylight.
