Nice Except For Trains
Nice county park except for the trains that run every 30 minutes all night long and blow their horn at the crossing right next to lower campground. Booking thru the county web site can be a challenge. Most of the site are sloped and leveling can be a challenge.

Watch For Low Tree Branches
Only three stars because we came in after dark and did not see the low hanging tree branch that took out one of our awning arms. It’s going to be expensive to repair. They need to trim back trees hanging over the roads and the camp sites. But my husband says the camp hosts were very nice and, other than hitting the tree branch, we liked the park. Yes, there are train tracks right next to the camp sites, and trains seemed to run every half hour and blow their whistle at the nearby road crossing, but it wasn’t bad. We just ignored the noise.

Great Park
Yes, the train tracks are *right* next to the lower campground and, yes, they blow their horns and it is loud. But it isn't as if this is a surprise. It's all an adventure, right? The hosts, Sean and Carmen, are the nicest people and are very helpful even when you arrive at night without a reservation (not me, it was a friend...). The campground is small and there are lots of trees but they're trimmed well so you shouldn't hit any if you pay attention. You *have* to make a reservation and it has to be online. However, same-day reservations can be made once you're here, as long as sites are available, of course. Important tip: if you're making a reservation online, look at the map first! Sites 1 and 2 in lower campground can only park cars or vans, and some of the others won't handle big Class A's or fivers.

Nice Place
The customer service was disappointing when we booked! The web site was not working so we had to call and they were very mean to us! We finally managed to book online! There are no washrooms but more outhouses...didn’t like that also no showers! And the trains are awful! Ok place for overnight but not more...

Very small Campground not many spots. Right next to train tracks so there's a lot of trains. If you're visiting someone this is the only place in the area to camp.
