Only stayed 1 Night out Of 3 Booked
Visited the KOA for the first time. Unfortunately it was extremely hot- 95+ degrees. The employees were very friendly. The park was clean and well suited for children. We had water and electric hook ups but no cable nor sewer at the site. The Electric was a big issue, just not our site but others camped around us. We could not use the A/C with our refrigerator and other electric sources at the same time. It would bring the voltage down to about to 104 to 105 volts possibly causing our A/C to burn out. The park is close to Ojai and approx a 30 minute drive to Ventura beaches. I found that the park was destroyed 2 years ago from the Thomas fire and rebuilt. I felt that the nightly price we paid was to high for the amenities that were lacking. Hopefully they will get it all worked out.

Good Please For Kids
Very friendly management. Place is kids friendly with several play games, swimming in pools and clubhouses. Many trails to walk your dog. Great attraction are peacocks living in the trees. Unfortunately, most RV spaces don’t have dump hookups. You can use their central station but there is a waiting line on your way out. Paid over $80 for one night.

Family Friendly
My family was already here when the Shelter-at-home started in California. So we just stayed the whole week in March. The jumping pillow was a hit for my kids, my girl loved the swings. I like the road around the park, great for doing laps. The peacocks were beautiful, but they sure are loud, woke me up pretty early every morning. My brother rented one of the cabins for a few nights and they loved it. The cabins were like tiny home designs but spacious, the views were spectacular when you're hanging outside. The staff was friendly and pretty laid back, no issues. Restrooms were very clean. I will stay here again someday.

Potential Best KOA
Coming 2 years after the fire, it slowly improving but what a huge loss from what once was. Maintenance around the pool and playground needs a lot of work. Ziplines, rockwall climbing and the pool were not available still. Just the bouncy huge pillow, playground and bigfoot watering hole were all it to entertain kids. Ill come back again once those up and running. This has the potential one of the best KOA but needs a lot of funds to bring it back to life.

Not A holiday
NO Laundry!!!! Have go drive 15 mins into town. They don’t have any clubhouse either for those of you who work remote and need the space. Seems like there are people who live hear long-term and barking animals outside all night. Its a campground, but the smell outside was terrible.

Super Kid Friendly
Great little spot where you feel like you are tucked away out of the city. Tons of fun activities for the kids (does cost extra for some) but they do a great job of offering everything from gem mining to coloring contests. Halloween time is outstanding with trick or treating and site decoration contests on Sat nights. Wish they had full hookups with sewer in all of the different rings but oh well. We used the showers instead which are well maintained. Definitely will come back again!

Spent the weekend here, this place is awesome, a log for the kids to do, it's very relaxing, full hookups laundry, and if you need anything from the store Santa Paula is really close by, thanks KOA, Ventura Ranch, you guys are doing and awesome job keeping this place up.

Hideaway KOA
It is a very nice KOA back in the hills. Not all sites have grass and not all have sewer for full hookups. I bet they are planning to upgrade. We made a reservation and got one with a grassy front, got lucky. There are plenty of trees for a tucked in feel. Would stay here again for sure if we came back to this area. 4 out of 5 for not having full hookups or cable. We are good to go with our dish tailgater. Yes, I like my morning news with my coffee when I am glamping.

Meh
One nice feature was some sites have a nice patio with a table and 6 padded chairs. The sites are gravel. Pricey when you could stay next door at Steckel and pay county prices.

KOA bought the campground and is improving it, it is a nice place, very quiet, and the zip line is a nice touch.this KOA is a nice little escape.
