Great Place
Great campground with many options for sites; 50 and 30 amp, full hookups, partial, tent sites, cabins. Verizon and ATT have decent cell service. Verizon and ATT hotspots work great, but T-Mobile hotspot doesn’t work at all.

Clicking to find rates and reservations is a labyrinth. Head back to another site.

Booked our MLK weekend through RPI. It was a little damp and most of the park roads are unpaved. But the staff could not be friendlier and it is so peaceful. Lots of activities as others have noted; the pool was open, but the hot tub was not. It's 30 minutes back to Hollister so double-check your packing list. Lots of wildlife around, and using our toad we visited Monterrey/Carmel and Pinnacles Nat. Park. Practically no wifi, cell service, OTA tv or radio. This park is perfect to get away from it all.

Bad Experience
Wanting to take our chihuahuas away for the Fourth of July to avoid fire works in our home town of Hollister nearby, we were able to get into the park at the last minute. There were many open sites but many are designated tent only. It was challenging to find a viable site for our 27' RV. Although it's summer, the place is suffering from the California drought and everything is dry and bleak. I have heard from others that it's good for kids with the pool, but that is it. There is nothing there and you're in the boondocks. It also appeared that there was a change in ownership and the proverbial left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing. On top of everything else... The charged over $60 a night. But the people managing the Welcome Center couldn't put even get that straight. So far they have under charged me. But I listened to another RVer that was dramatically over charged. They told them they (at the desk) could not reconcil the over charge and to take it up with owner.
