Jawbone Open Area is located off State Highway 14, approximately 20 miles north of the intersection of State Highway14 and 58 in the town of Mojave. A left turn from State Highway 14 onto Jawbone Canyon Rd., when traveling from the south. Traveling from the north, it is a right turn onto Jawbone Canyon Rd.
I have not been here yet.

This is not marked at the right location. It's located just before you enter Red Rock Canyon.

Raptor Off Road Adventures
We visited in mid October 2015. The area is beautiful and will definitely go back. We came in late on a Saturday Evening and was surprised to find so many campers and only one spot left. There is NO cell phone service, wifi, water, power, dump facility, firewood or store so it's dry camping and you are on your own. However you can buy bottled water at the visitor center along with souvenirs. There are bathrooms available, garbage dumpsters and Rangers roaming the park. We did have a couple visitors come into camp soon after we got set up, a couple sidewinder rattle snakes and a scorpion. So keep keep an eye out especially if you have kids or a dog.
