Close To The Beach, Close Together
This is my brother-in-law's favorite place to camp. They use the less developed sites, only water and electric. We had a site with full hookups. The sites are wide enough for two vehicles, but crowded right next to each other. A little windy for the sites next to the beach. Our site was away from the beach and I thought the train tracks might mean noise, but did not hear a train at night. Great hike south to Tar Pits State Park. Easy walk into town. I have tried to make online reservations again, but have found it nearly always booked full.

Good Little Campsite
Turned up on a busy holiday weekend without a booking to chance it. Managed to get a space thanks to the help of the staff who couldn’t be more helpful. Campsite was busy but something that is expected. Facilities were clean and relatively new. With it being on the coast it can get a bit windy, just something to be aware of if using texts and gazebos as a couple were wrecked during my stay. Quick walk down the beach and up the road for a few restaurants and cafes with friendly locals. Will be coming here again

Best Beach On The West Coast
We stayed in San Miguel. Water and Electric. Listening to the ocean is wonderful. Foggy in the morning but burns off by noon. 75' but the sun is warm. We swept our site, put out rugs and all was fine. Beach is very calm.

Nice Park (A little pricey)
Great location. Wonderful sunset, beach and swimming opportunities. Sites are pretty close together with minimal buffer. AmTrak goes right past the park with nearby depot. Showers are coin operated. Basic RV site is $45, full hookup for $70. Generators are allowed during normal hours. Staff is very nice. Support your parks!!

Nice beach access. Actual tar pits at south end of beach. Surfing, bike riding and good walking path.

Right On The Sand
Such a nice beach! The campground has 4 loops. Two (with hookups) are more like parking lots with trees; two are more rustic but still have pads. Great beach access.
