Beautiful sites in all loops. Have stayed there more times than I can remember both tent camping 40 years and now with 25 foot travel trailer. I would agree with the previous review about taking the long way even with ashort trailer such as ours it is just easier on your brakes, switchbacks are tight and steep.

Nice Place

This is a nice campground very well maintained and plenty of security. Call ahead and make reservations. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If you're pulling a fifth wheel or a large clase take the long way around in reality its only about 5 minutes longer. The curves and switch backs can be navigating on the short route going down the mountain. But not recommended. The people that camp there are very friendly and worth the experience. There plenty of hiking trails fishing and just about everything else. Ask for a site along the river. Just my two cents.
