Stopped By
We pulled in and no one else was camping. It does appear run down, but it functions. Few spaces overall and they’re close together. Water and electric. We were offered a spot for $30 and the sewage is a dump station. The bathrooms were “being remodeled” in May 2018 and still in March 2020—so you decide if they are actually remodeling it or not. I bet not because they told us the Conoco Hopi Travel Center about one mile down the highway has pay showers. This place is right off I-40 and not too far west from Petrified Forest National Park. We chose to go down to Holbrook to the OK RV Park—waaaaay better!

Disappointed
Despite the good reviews we were disappointed. We were charged $35 which included the veteran discount. The promised Wi-Fi was non-existant. In general the place was run down and not worth the price.

Owners Are Great!
This is not a fancy park but it does have full service sites, pull-throughs and appears to be able to accommodate big rigs. The owners, a friendly family, do their best to assist with your needs. We pulled up without a reservation, they let us know we could stay for 2 nights if we wanted full hookup or a little longer if we didn’t need sewer. The owners are working hard to bring this little gem back to life. Their rates are $40 per night, they accept passport America, good Sam and give a generous 50% off the veterans! We will stay here again when we are in the area. The painted desert and petrified forest are awesome!

Nicer Than I Expected
We made prepaid reservations here, and initially thought that we had made a mistake. The park was originally a 30’s vintage motel on Route 66. Most of the buildings were removed and it was converted to an RV Park a long time ago. It was seriously run down but the new owners are fixing it up. Some of the historical things are still there, like the sign and a row of rooms. The service was great. The owners couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. The back in site had good shade (rare in this area). The laundry room was clean and very reasonable. The lobby was also very nice. The biggest negative is this is a small park and the only bathhouse was being remodeled in may 2018. So no showers.

Good Overnight
We were given a choice of 30 or 50 amp. We chose 50amp and it was an easy back-office and out. The staff was very helpful. I was able to purchase small petrified rocks at $2/lb for Grandchildren. Petrified Forest nearby; but, no time. We'll stop on way back to SC.

I give this place a thumbs up. The new owner /staff very friendly and helpful. Told us we could use the lobby after hours to watch TV and just relax. Right on old Route 66 and had a nice little gift shop and petrified rock by the pound. Working on improvements that will make it an even better place. Would stay there again and recommend it as a good stopping place on your way to The Petrified Forest and The Painted Desert.

Stayed here one night our way to California we've stayed here last year too it's a nice overnight park people are friendly only thing I don't understand is why RV park owners Park people right next to one another when there's plenty of empty space why don't they Park every other space until they need to fill in the spaces

Diamond in the rough
We have stayed here a few times under the previous owners, and received what we expected, a convenient stop for the night spot at a good price. I say a diamond in the rough, the new owners have made improvements by leaps and bounds, some are easy to see, others are underground like power and water lines. And more to come. Our check-in experience was a pleasure, our host/owner is genuine and accommodating. As for the WiFi, we didn't require it. We are enjoying our satellite TV and VZ phone and Internet service. We'll certainly be coming back when in the area. We've been full-time for 10 years and appreciate the Diamonds in the Rough! No frills, not a resort, just a clean, safe, level spot to call home for your training needs.

Working To Improve
This is a good one or two night stay to go see the Painted Desert/Petrified Forest. Very nice people. FHU, GS discount, little gift shop for great priced petrified wood items..you can even buy by the pound. Easy on and off I-40. Level, gravel sites, a bit close but enough room to open awnings. Water and pressure were reasonable. All that said....this is a no frills stop. The only bathroom is in the office, the WiFi is non-existent, no Cable or Tv by antenna (doubful about satellite). There are no stores or gas anywhere around.
