Quiet Campground On Rt 66
Spent a couple nights here. Our Pros/Cons: Pros - Quiet, only 3 other RV’s in the park with us - Restaurant on property - playground on property - showers, bathrooms - laundry room - Caverns on property Cons - price too high for this park $45/night - entire campground was dirt - 30 mph winds with 60 mph gusts blew dirt everywhere - cell/internet service was poor (we had Verizon)

Hidden, Expensive Gem
Price is the only knock on this place, thought it was a bit too high. That said, very secluded and quiet.....probably because we were literally the ONLY people staying in the park (see photos from June 21, 2020). There were some trains in the distance you could hear, but not enough to be bothersome. Stars were incredible. The staff was extremely nice and helpful and even told my kids where to search for arrowheads and hematite. We didn't get to do the caverns (because they don't open until 10am), but the staff told us all about them and taught my kids about them. Would recommend for anyone traveling historic Route 66.

Awesome Hidden Gem
Great secluded place! RV park is a mile from road, rt66, and has very nice secluded spots. Just enough to be away from others but close enough that it's not scary. Lots of trees at spots and all over. 30 and 50amp hookups and water. There is also a dump. Covered garbage cans throughout were nice. Stars amazing! Very quiet. Free breakfast. Lots of cute signs and antique stuff all around. Owners care. CAVERNS Tour! Right there by rv park. Very worth it and fun. A hidden gem. Huge gorgeous caverns. Only negative was if you arrive after hours you gotta check in by motel by main road. I didn't know and had to drive back. Also lady in motel didn't really know much except how to swipe a credit card...

Wish I Could Have Stayed
Looks right up my alley, dinosaurs, a saloon, ghost tour, cavern - I would have stayed & spent some money. But $40 is completely ridiculous, it's in the middle of nowhere, not in great shape & practically deserted. Drove about 40 miles, paid $20.

Step Back In Time.
Overall the campground was adequate. We enjoyed the big RV space the road was a bit rough but still manageable. A little pricey at $40 a night but it was a cute stop. We did not try the restaurant but did the cavern tour which was well worth the $15.00. Needs some sprucing up but a good stop even if you don't plan on staying.

Lovely
Lovely, quiet campground. Gravel spaces, clean and well kept. Free breakfast. We didn't stay to do the caverns. There is a restaurant at the campground and if you don't eat there you are cheating yourself. Staff is delightful and food is delicious. Burgers and homemade pies ohhhh myyyy. Seriously my husband wouldn't even give me a bite of his southwest bacon cheeseburger. Said it would fall apart. Do you believe that flimsy excuse. I had the bacon Swiss and it was loaded will go out of our way to camp here again

Great campground. Quite. Be aware they do not have sewer hook ups. Other than that we enjoyed a relaxing weekend. Staff was great, Cavern tour was great. Will definitely return.
