Just Right

I think this park is just right for a stop along the way to Tok or Valdez. Our drive was a little long and slow. Called Grand View at 3:30. Sure, they had FHU or W/e available. Level sites. Easy in / out. Super nice folks and nice restaurant. No cell service but our Starlink works great. I would suggest to any travelers needing a place for the night and wanting a little more than a roadside, noisy pull out. Ps. I’m not encountering much road noise and another review states

Ok in a pinch. (In my case tired of driving.) Road noise. Had need amenities as stated. Sight was fairly level.

Pygmy

We were there during the auto launch the 4th of July. We stayed in the over flow down over the hill. Really dusty and unlevel . The RV sites at store looked a lot better. The owner was very busy but tried to stay friendly. There was approximately 7000 people there and some are bound to be idiots. Would stay again.

Nice little park with very nice staff. Convenient location about half way between Homer and Valdez. Sites are well graveled, level, scenery really is excellent. Cafe, by the way is very good and reasonable (for Alaska). Third time we have stayed here, saw a wolf the first time!

Nice View

Easy to get in and out. Water and electric at site with a dump station. Beautiful views of the mountains just about any way you looked. Limited cable channels. Good restaurant on site.

This is a great little campground close to the matinuska glacier. Clean restaurant with very good food. We would definitely stay here again

Great little pk, ample room, friendly staff, showers $$. Pk has great views an a hiking trail. They serve good pizza, Wi-Fi is so-so.
