We stayed here a month and would have stayed longer if they would have let us. This is a quiet and private campground. Our campsite faced the forest and we felt like we were the only camper there. We love to hike and we were able to go fifty yards into the trees and hook into Cemetery Loop which is a good workout. The price is amazing too!

Best Kept Secret
We stayed for a weekend and was surprised by all the trails. Everything was well kept and maintained. Everything worked with no problems and the sites were kept clean. Everyone was nice and helpful we went for a swim in the creek, definitely spring feed (cold) but felt good on a hot day. We felt very secure there as workers and security was always making there rounds. Will definitely be back.

Loved staying at this park. Not only beautiful, but the employees went above and beyond expectations. Stayed a month. I really enjoyed the hiking trails. Can't say enough good about this park.

Much Improved From The Past
This park and campground are managed by the county. Used to be managed by a local city and it was sketchy. Things still need updating and they are working on that. It was very quiet at night. We could hear the interstate but not to the point of bothering us. Good hiking trails. Bath houses dated but clean. Roads in good shape. We will stay here again in the future. Our site was shady and had a grill and fire ring. Gravel base. Electric tested ok with our surge protector. We stayed here in December 2019.
They do require cash payment and a 40$ cash deposit that was refunded at the end of our stay with no issues.
Park employees were friendly and accommodating.

Quiet. Lots of hiking trails close to camp site. Beautiful park. Easy in and out sites for all size campers. Warm clean bathrooms. Hot showers. Perfect place to stop with your dogs.
