Lots Of Potential, Room For Improvement

Lots of thoughts, with two caveats: we stayed Labor Day weekend 2026 when the park was completely full, and ownership had changed only a couple weeks earlier. The new owners already seem to be making positive changes. That said, the park feels like it’s struggling to decide what it wants to be—a premium RV resort, local bar/hangout, fish camp, restaurant, or community center. The campground itself feels like an afterthought. Check-in was confusing, staff couldn’t direct us to our site properly, sites are extremely tight, and some long-term sites were poorly maintained. The pool/swim-up tiki bar is a great concept, with reasonable prices and awesome bartenders, but the public access, wristbands, drink checks, and heavy police presence made the atmosphere feel odd and somewhat rowdy. There’s a lot to like, but it wasn’t for us at this time. The new owners seem to have big plans. Hopefully they’ll continue to improve the property.
