Nature
DeSoto is a beautiful, well maintained park with full hookups and level sights. The area we stayed in was gravel but we did find part of the sights are paved. We did see the Falls which are a must see attraction. The only negative so far is the young guys at the camp store and the lodge. Rude is putting it politely. We figured they must be a child of a politician. This is a come back State Park.

Nice park for a state park. Signage not real visible on approach so hard to find check in. All spaces level and easy to hook up. Would be good place for several nights.

Nice Place
Stayed at site 17 in the full hook up area. It was a big push to go up and backwards such a long way with my rig but the site was not typical and offered a LOT of room to spread out if needed. Showers and bathrooms were clean. They have over the air cable and cell service with Verizon was acceptable. I'd stay again.

Clean Camp
Nice hiking area that runs near streams and small waterfalls. Very clean bathrooms. Looked like an incredible trail for mountain bikes.Easy pullthrough for my first ever campsite with a trailer. Only negative is the price. At $50 a night, better get your hiking in quickly.

Our Winter Vacation
This is one of the best state parks we been in a long time, wasn’t easy to get to but it well worth the effort, there was a lot of wild life at the campground, my dogs enjoy the deer in the campground, will be back

Love this place. This is our third time staying here and we will be back. I lost a set of keys and the staff was very helpful in helping me look for them. I did not find them but thay help a lot.

We stayed here in October 2020 and found the park clean and well maintained. Check in was easy, the people friendly. Quite a few attractions near by.

Relaxing Campground
Quiet, relaxing campground with plenty of space between sites. Lots of trails to get out on and explore. A short drive to Desoto Falls and Mentone Farmers Market is a must

Arrived around 8pm and was able to call the lodge to book a site for that night. Very low cell reception there but somehow got through. Surprised by the $48 campsite fee -- quite high for a state park comparatively -- but the facilities were new and very clean and the site was level and quiet.

RV’s Dream Site.
For RV’s, this park is as close as one can get to the perfect RV site. Large sites (yes big), easy access, very well laid out, flat, full hook up. Both pull thru and back in sites. The washrooms are modern and very clean. The park itself is beautiful

We stayed 3 days and didn’t want to leave. The park is beautiful. The sites are spaced apart with plenty of privacy and showers/laundry was nice. They have great hiking trails. The park is quiet and clean. We didn’t try the pool but did eat at the restaurant and it was ehhh.

Nice Park Good Hiking
This is a great area for discovery with trails all over the place. There are several mt bike trails as well. Basically 2 loops with 2 lanes of pull throughs in between. We stayed at #92 most of the sites had cover in circles and were fairly flat with bath/showers in middle which was nice. Bathrooms were cleaner than most state parks so that was a plus. Some of the pull throughs had a slope. Only playground was in day area by check in which was a negative for younger kids.

Very nice park. Friendly ranger and camp host. Very well maintained. Gated access to campground. Two loops and an area with pull thru site in between. Full hookups including cable and WiFi (we got 40 Mbps). Most site have slight slope. We stayed first night at site 23 in a 45’ MH. Front wheels were jacked up off the ground. Moved to site 7 for remainder of the stay. No issue other than the travel pad was slightly soft. Nice hiking trails. If your up for a drive, there is a beautiful canyon nearby with some glorious sites. I would definite stay here again.

We loved this campground! Pull through site #40 was spacious and not difficult to level at all. Bath house/laundry was exceptionally clean. Hiking trails were absolutely beautiful! Would highly recommend!

Beautiful park. Great rangers and hiking trails. Most of the pull thru sites very nice but expect problems getting level. Only complaint, the trash dumpsters are a hike to place trash in. Minor note, but annoying.
