Nothing Short Of Spectacular.
A true camping experience in a National park. Elk right at your site!!! Very nice river trails, unlimited firewood so don’t be upset about the $8.50 fire pit fee. Minutes to jasper town, 45 min to Miette Hot Springs, very spacious sites and fabulous views. Unreal. Will recommend this place and will stay again!!

We stayed on 6/20/19 without a reservation. There were sites available only due to cancellations because of a pileup on the Icefields Parkway. Great park, very quiet. Nice warm shower in morning.

Make Reservations
We did not make reservations. Did not realize that whistler campground was closed for renovatios. Got stuck in a parking lot (walmart is roomier) with 30 amp electrical. There are community picnic tables and fire pits across the parking lot. 8.50 for a burn permit but they provide the firewood. Luckily we did not plan to spend much time in camp anyway.

Wapiti Camp
This campground is full of dead and dying lodgepole pine killed by the mountain pine beetle. Not very pretty.

Nice, Quite Provincial Park
This is a large park close to a large river. Very quiet. Nicely spaced wooded sites. Sites are gravel and level side to side. Had to level front to back. Our camper is 30 foot and we barely fit with our truck without unhooking. Roads are a bit narrow in some places and it looks like the pine trees are dying. There is potable water and a quad dump station. They accept cash or credit. We stayed in mid-June and didn't reserve. The reservation fees for one night stays are outrageous.
